Dr. Lisa C. Sharp DVM
Dr. Sharp grew up in Jackson, MS where she attended Murrah High School. After graduating, she went to Mississippi State University where she pursued a degree in Zoology. She attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1984. She then married her classmate, Dr. Harold Newcomb, and moved to Batesville, MS. In May of 1985, they opened South Panola Veterinary Hospital where her main area of practice is Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and also Equine Medicine.

Dr. Sharp and her husband attend Batesville First United Methodist Church where she is a member of the Chancel Choir and the Handbell Choir. Dr. Sharp is also a Life Member of the Batesville Junior Auxillary, officer of the local Mississippi State University Alumni Association (Panola Dogs),National Board Member for the Mississippi State Univeristy Alumni Association, member and Past President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), member of the Memphis-Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association (MSCVMA), member of Mississippi Animal Response Team (MART), and the Mississippi Veterinary Corp with training in Disaster Preparedness and BioTerrorism.

In her spare time, Dr. Sharp enjoys spending time her husband and two daughters. She also likes to attend Mississippi State University sporting events. When she is not cheering on the Bulldogs, Dr. Sharp loves to cook, can fruits and vegetables, and travel.
